These 2000-P American Silver Eagle Proof Coins are a collector’s delight as their grade of PR-70 Deep Cameo by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), guarantees a perfect specimen of the coin with beautiful, contrasting designs.
Each of these coins contains 1 troy ounce of 0.999 pure silver, and carries an official face value of $1 (USD).


Proof Eagle coins are struck using a special, more precise method of minting, usually due to collector demand for perfect specimens of these coins with impressive designs. PCGS experts assign a 70 (out of 70) grade on the Sheldon grading scale to only those coins that have proven to be free of even subtle imperfections.


The obverses of the coins have the following inscriptions on them – ‘Liberty,’ ‘In God We Trust,’ and the year of its release, ‘2000.’ Adolph A. Weinman, popularly known as the designer of the famous Walking Liberty image, lends his brilliant depiction of Lady Liberty to these coins. She is seen striding towards the rising sun with an American flag draped around her shoulders.


John Mercanti, the twelfth Chief Engraver of the United States Mint created the motif that graces the reverse of this coin, a symbol of American pride, the Heraldic Bald Eagle, wings spread behind a striped shield. Confirming the fact that they were struck at the Philadelphia facility of the United States Mint, these 2000-P American Silver Eagle Proof Coins bear the ‘P’ mint mark on their reverses.
