These virtues are those that Queen Victoria believed should remain at the core of every monarch’s moral: Victory, Truth, Charity, Justice, Courage, and Constancy. This series is inspired by the virtues first presented on the Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Place in 1906. These honorable virtues will be uniquely depicted on each coin, represented differently on the reverse faces. SD Bullion is excited to offer a series that celebrates notable virtues that were once instilled and thus passed down in such a virtuous Queen.

 

The first coin of the series is called “The 2021 1 ounce Victory Silver Coin.” The term Victory is an important quality describing Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II’s reign as they both accomplished vital moments of victory for the Kingdom of Great Britian. The term Victory is defined as a triumph over an enemy, signaling the commencement of peace. Displaying the honorable virtue of Victory, this one troy ounce coin consists of a 0.999 purity. The country of St. Helena issues this series, giving the coin a £1 denomination. 

 

The obverse face will remain constant throughout the series, featuring the effigy of the Royal Majesty herself, Queen Elizabeth II. Renowned sculptor Raphael Maklouf designed this figure of the Queen. This face also features the year of issue (2021), the coin’s face value, and the issuing body (St. Helena).

 

The reverse face portrays Victory inspired by the Victoria Memorial. The symbolic representation of Victory is pictured as a beautiful winged angel carrying the victor’s palm. The words of “Victory through Harmony” surround her figure.
