The Leaning Tower of Pisa was started in 1173, and when three floors and five years had passed, the tower started to lean. The unstable foundation deterred builders for 100 years until more floors were added to try to fix the leaning tower. Unfortunately, this only made the tower lean more. The completed tower totals seven floors, and in 2008 it was stabilized for visitors to visit this landmark.
