The Coin’s design

As the coin's motif is Earth, the coin has a spherical shape, like a planet. A translucent blue enamel represents 70% of the water that covers the planet’s surface, contrasting with the green that colors the continents’ depictions.

Barbados Coat of Arms is on the bottom of the coin, applied with the Water Transfer Print Technology, which provides the image with a 3-D effect. Along with the national seal, the words engraved read: “BARBADOS,” “3 Oz,” “5 DOLLARS”, and “Ag 999,” standing for the country of emission, the weight, denomination, metal content, and purity, and the mint year.
