The argali (Mongolian for ram) is the largest species of wild sheep. You will most commonly see these beautiful creatures in central Asia on elevations up to 5800 meters. Argalis communicate with their offspring by hissing through their nostril and grunting. These magnificent animals typically live up to 13 years old.

Design:

Each coin features a breathtaking display of these animals. The reverse face depicts a side-facing view of the argali and is struck in ultra-high relief, portraying the animal in great detail. The argali is seen sternly focusing and ready to hunt. Behind the main image is a front-facing image of the beast.

The obverse is similar to those in the collection. The ram’s large horns are curled and surround the center of the coin. The titled effigy, as well as the issuing nation, weight, and purity, are all included on this side of the coin. Last but not least, the year "2022" is also hidden in the design. With a face value of 500 Togrogs, this coin is backed by the Mongolian government.
