The reverse sides of these coins feature the caricature of the three wise men who visited Jesus in the manger. Although two of them are depicted with gifts in the design, the third wise man is holding out an actual gold foil (24-karat gold) encased within this coin. A tiny round plastic enclosure contains this gold foil, positioned in such a way to successfully portray actual gold being gifted to baby Jesus.
